yes I'm about to launch a critique group for author-illustrators, ie artists that write, or are attempting to write, their own stories or plots. Very shortly to be announced!
hello Katherine. Thanks for getting in touch again. Sorry, I won't be able to get to Winchester. As you said it would be nice to meet up. i had another of my poems chosen by the same publisher. They want to include it in their 21st. anniversary anthology. They said I could use the same one they had already sent them but I chose to send a different one and they liked it. I sent one called "Blindness". I don't think you have read that one.
Perhaps when you get back from Winchester then I can send you one of my poems to see if you can do something about illustrating itSpeak to you soon,
David.
Hello Katherine.
All I can say is DOH DOH DOH!
When I asked you if I could send you one of my poems I gave you the wrong email address. It should have been waffo59@mac.com The chockhead side of it is the official name for the site not my email address, so if you have replied to me under the address I gave you then it is floating up there somewhere in the ether!! Sorry about that.
Best wishes
David.
FOUND IT!!! excellent pictures/paintings. You really are very very talented. I would love it if you could have a go at one of my poems. If you have an email address I could send one to you. One of my email addresses is chockhead@mac.com if you can send me your address. My comments on your illustrations are under one of my names Waffooo.
Hello Katherine. Thanks for getting back to me. I can understand how you must have to juggle things about with a young child to look after. I have been to the web page you told me to but nowhere could I find your work under Frazerazor. I started on page six as you said but nothing. I then went to all the other pages, still nothing. Do you think they have moved you? Couldn't find the Freddy and the Fairies poem either at Waterstones. I put the title in but it came back as a negative search. I have to go out on a Taxi job now but will look again when I get back.
Hello Katherine, I'll try just this one more time to reach you. It could be that you are too busy to reply and if that is the case then I apologise for bothering you. I know you said you had some pressing work you had to get finished.
Regards
David.
Hi Katherine,
Thank you for your kind comments on my WORM poem. Thank you too for saying you would have a go at illustrating it, but this morning I received a letter from a publisher who has said she would like to use the poem in a "Collection Of Poems For Children' she is planning to publish September 30th. I feel really chuffed about it as you can guess and have sent off my permission for them to go ahead. They didn't mention anything about getting paid for it but at least I'll have my name in print and someone else may see my work.
Cheers
David.
Hello Katherine.
Thank you very much for your reply. As you can see, i have just started on this site and am not too sure what goes on!! Being one of those "Born Early" people it takes us a long time to catch up!! I was interested as well to see that you are an illustrator. I have been promised so many times by people who said they would look at my poems etc. with a view to trying to illustrate them for me. Would you mind looking at a couple to see what you honestly think of them please?
Regards,
David H Worsdale,
