British SCBWI

I've received word that I can go "public" with my good news:

My adult short story "Good Guys" has been sold to Constable & Robinson for inclusion in their March 2010 anthology called "The Mammoth Book of Special Ops Romance."

Now, I realise it's not strictly SCBWI reading material but it's my first sale so I just had to pop over here and be all *glee* about it.

I've put more information about it over on my official author's blog - http://www.lizdejager.co.uk/2009/11/some-good-news/ .

I know it's a bit childish but I love the fact that I've got a pseudonyum for this!

LOL - Nick - don't you start. The Spec Ops books are massive in the States and most of them fall under the adult paranormal romance / urban fantasy genre. Didn't you ever read the Executioner books or the Mack Bolan books? It's almost the same, just with them being a lot less macho and gory.

Well done!

It's fair to say that I hadn't up until this point even considered that you might have romance books devoted to particular sectors of the armed forces! Sounds like there could be a range of profitable niches for you to explore (oo-er)
