An attack of excitedness
I have been dithering about joining SCWBI for ages now and after an impromptu email to Sue Hyams I joined yesterday - on the spur of the moment. And then I went and attended my first social event with the London Crew.
What a fantastic evening - I met loads of new people whom I would like to think I didn't alienate with my *bouncing* and enthusiasm.
More importantly I felt like I fitted - does this make sense? I've found a group of fellow writers and creative spirits whom I feel a kinship with - we are all crazy, of course, being writers. It was great. I loved it. I am now examining the various events to see which I can feasibly attend.
Thank you to Sue, Candy, Miriam, Mo, Paolo, Sue Eves and everyone else last night making me feel welcome and part of something really cool!

Hi Liz,
I've met you on several occasions at book events - I was sure you were already a squibbie! (SCBWI-BI member for short!). Congrats on finishing your novel in 4 months - well impressed.
