About Me
I'm a writer and SCBWI volunteer. I take care of membership for the UK, as well as being one of the conference organisers. I also take care of the London network with the very lovely Lauren Sabel.
What are you working on at the moment?
A (an?) historical mystery set in 1664.
If you were asked to recommend just one children's book published this year, what would it be?
I've really enjoyed Tom Becker's Darkside books. I love the world he's created. But it HAS to be Neil Gaiman's Graveyard Book. I loved it!
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Just do it! When your inspiration and enthusiasm have taken a walk, keep writing anyway.

2010 Retreat!

I'm still working on the programme but the dates for the 2010 retreat are Friday May 14th through to Monday May 17th, and it's at Pendrell Hall as before. I'll announce the rest of the details when I've figured them out! Let me know if you want to be kept informed.

The next London Social will be from 6.30pm onWednesday 4th November in the main bar area of the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank. If you stand with your back to the bar, we'll be on the left. All welcome!

November London Social

I'm thinking of Wednesday 4th November for the next London Social. Date OK? It will be on the Southbank but not the RFH as they have too many events that night and will too crowded. So that everyone can find us (once I've confirmed the venue) and new members can recognise us, I will bring along the newest SCBWI London member - Dodo! Oh, yes! New date for the London Social is next Tuesday 6th October.
