About Me
I'm a writer and SCBWI volunteer.
What are you working on at the moment?
The Apothecary's Apprentice - a YA thriller for set in 1664.
If you had to recommend just one children's book you've read in the last year, what would it be?
The Crowfield Curse AND The Crowfield Demon by Pat Walsh - read them both NOW.
White Crow by Marcus Sedgwick.

I must have a thing about Crows!
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Just do it! When your inspiration and enthusiasm have taken a walk, keep writing anyway. Advice I freely give to others but could really do with taking myself!

Thanks Sue.  Dipping into SCBWI is rather like opening a jar of peanut butter.  I tell myself I will eat just one small spoonful but it is so yummy!

Hi Sue

Thank you for welcoming me and for inviting me to join your Friends.   I haven't really settled in yet, but I have put in entries for the Badge competition and the Undiscovered Voices...Jill

Hi Sue. Thanks for getting in touch; you've given me the push I needed so far and I'll bet I come running back to you from time to time asking how to do this and that in this fabulous forum. Best of luck with your own projects. John.

hello Sue,

just thought I'd spend a bit of time looking at the sight. I've never done any social networking so am a complete novice. I got my pack in the post from USA this morning = Very Exciting!!!! I'm looking forward to chatting to people via the Ning(?). Might even work out how to get a decent photo of me up in a week or two.

cheers

Sorry you couldn't make the social. It was such a shame about the weather. It stopped a lot of people getting out. Steve came but Anthony didn't. Hope you make it to the next one in February :)
