- About Me
- I am a writer and North West Regional Co-ordinator for the SCWBI in the UK. I still work full time and am a Legal Assistant. A child at heart I still remember how easy it was to fall in love with characters when I was younger and I would love to believe that I can bring some of that magic to today's children.
- What are you working on at the moment?
- A novel entitled Lily & the G.H.O.S.T., part of a series with a supernatural edge. As some of you may know I've been working on it for a few years now but am in the editing stages and am working on the second novel's plot - Lily & the Banshee.
- If you were asked to recommend just one children's book published this year, what would it be?
- I don't know if I could - there are so many amazing books out there and some of them although having been published years ago I am just picking up so they are brand new to me. I've just finished readying Twilight and have a massive stack of books that I keep buying and don't have time to read waiting for me.
- What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
- I learned the importance of sharing your experiences, failures and successes with other people. Writing can be lonely but since starting up the local crit groups and meeting lots of people I've realised how many friends there are to be made.
