Marie-Claire Imam-Gutierrez said… Rebecca, hi! I'm not really sure how this all works and I don't want to step on anyone's toes...but I noticed you said you finished a YA novel and are editing (is this right?). I am pitching to two agents in September and could really do with a crit, especially of my first 3000 words. Do you fancy swopping extracts then meeting up? Do you know of anyone else in the group who are near and would like to do the same. Loved your blog by the way. Thanks, Marie-Claire
hi Rebecca, Not sure if I'm getting messages through. I've found you on twitter and joined as a follower

Hi Rebecca, Thank you for your kind comments. I feel very welcome already. I will try to connect to you on Twitter but as I'm a newby I get it wrong more than I get it right.
Rowena House said… Hi and thanks for your welcome. It's hard to pitch these profile comments right, so glad it came across OK. I hope to get involved in SCBWI lots, but still feeling my way round at the moment. Rowena

Rachel Latham, Winner UV 2012 said… Hi Rebecca, how are you? Sorry not to have been in touch for a while. Life has been very hectic with work and family. How's your writing going? I've managed the prologue and 3 pges of my fantasy sequel - I'm not sure where the plot is going or even if there is one! It seems so hard to start on something new and leave the previous story alone but I have to prove to myself that i can write something new and not just re-edit all the time. The first story Legacy/To Dance with the Wind is still unpublished but I'll keep plugging away at that. How are your story ideas coming?
cheers
Rachel
