About Me
Hello,

I accidentally discovered a love of writing about two years ago when my eldest son started to ask me for the same made up story again and again. He told me off when I couldn't remember all the details, so I started to write them down for him and now, here I am, signing up to learn more and loving every minute.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am slowly working my way though a Writers Bureau Writing for Children course whilst also writing a young adult novel.
If you were asked to recommend just one children's book published this year, what would it be?
The Soul Trade by E.E. Richardson.
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
That it is great when you meet someone who you can talk "plots" with. (Without the worry that they will glaze over at any second.)

New Children's Mag Seeking Submissions

Hi everyone and welcome to my first ever blog posting!

I have just discovered a new magazine called Knowonder!, which is due to launch in September 2009. They are seeking submissions of children's stories and parental advice articles and, although they are a non paying market, I thought you may be interested.
