About Me
I am an archaeologist and writer, living and working in Bedfordshire, UK.
What are you working on at the moment?
I'm working on two books at the moment - one set several thousand years ago, and one set in the tenth century.
If you had to recommend just one children's book you've read in the last year, what would it be?
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
It's hard work!

Hi Pat. I love the idea of digging a Viking winter camp. The vikings/norsemen were just such resourceful people. Daft question - what do you think of Horrible Histories? Have you read them or caught them on TV? My kids love them!!!!

how's your writing doing?

hello, I'm new too and trying to work my way around the site.  I'm constantly amazed at how hard it can be to get one sentence to sound right. And trying to find my unique voice as a writer is tough especially working out what the market wants and trying to fit with that. best wishes for the writing and for the current dig!
