It was great meeting you Liz. And... Wow! You love urban fantasy and are a fan of Neil Gaiman? A lot in common there. And if you do get a chance to write in his house, can I fit in a small box too?

Thank you for the post, Nick, and congratulations! I'm almost fainted when Candy called me and announced that I was one of the 17 (hon mentions), I cannot quite imagine what would do happen if an agent were to call me! Luckily I still have loads of…

About Me
Born in Italy, son of the 1970s, I live in North London, England.
What are you working on at the moment?
All I can say for now is that Wings of Ozryel is the second book in a series of four called Angelcraft.
The series is about two boys, Jon and Will, who are the vessels of a fallen angel, a spirit of long ago who almost turned into a demon, but not quite. In the first book they've fought against people who wanted to kill Jon and Will in order to "make Shamsiel whole again." Shamsiel is the fallen angel the baddies want to bring back into the world. But there's a greater spirit, a real demon called Kakabel, who lurks in the background too.
The story is set in our present day and is full of action; we'll see Jon and Will learning about their power to amend time: Jon can actually bend the future (if you can figure that one out, let me know), while Will can change things that have happened in the past. Both of them have yet to learn how to control their powers well.
In The Vespertine Hour (Book 1), the boys also discover that they can communicate telepathically and that if they combine their power together, they can bring time to a halt. Intriguing enough?
We are going to see much more action in Wings of Ozryel, where the quest is to find a set of wings with the magical power to save Jon and Will's lives. We are going to meet Zaira who falls in love with Will, we'll see Jon foreseeing the worst and trying his best not to let that happen, and Will trying to save the day again. When he does that, the consequences are normally catastrophic. And in Wings of Ozryel, Will ends up real bad in an amazingly twisted ending to book two. Oops, I've said too much already.
If you were asked to recommend just one children's book published this year, what would it be?
The Graveyard Book, by Neil Gaiman
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Never be afraid to start all over again!
