About Me
I have four grandchildren. They give so much joy!

New book coming September 2009. "My Big Brother JJ" to be published by Tamarind in September 2009, illustrated by Patrice Aggs .

I have written 4 picture books published by Deutsch/Scholastic/Puffin about "Sammy", the youngest child in a family. He always tries to keep up with the older ones, but often has to resort to his imagination. My next book "Nightingale News" was a collection of school stories, Hippo, Scholastic.
What are you working on at the moment?
Now working on "Cameron and the buses"

I'm also working on an adult book (using pseudonym!) about adopting our two boys. We had two girls, then adopted the boys, both from a Caribbean background. One came aged 4 after a very deprived early childhood. Must get an agent!
If you were asked to recommend just one children's book published this year, what would it be?
"Eliot Jones. Midnight Superhero" by Anne Cottringer
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
To keep the story fun and entertaining.

at the top right hand corner of your page, click on 'settings'. this brings you to a page where you can change email addresses etc. one of the buttons allows you to upload your pic. on the left side, you will see a menu which also allows you to customise your page. to move the feed from cluttering the top of your page, just click and drag it to the sidebar.
