Profile

About Me
Most people call me Jude as my name is pronounced 'Najude'. I write and have published educational material for children and teens. This is published under my full name of Najoud Ensaff and N. Ensaff. I also write fiction for children, teens and adults and I aim to get this published too. On my journey there I am studying towards an MA in Writing for Children. When I'm not busy doing all that, I teach, have examined at GCSE level and am a school inspector... Yes, I am clearly mad!
What are you working on at the moment?
I am working on my MA dissertation and a new book for Philip Allan Updates!
If you were asked to recommend just one children's book published this year, what would it be?
I loved Just in Case and What I was both by Meg Rosoff. Guantanamo Boy by Anna Perera is a very good and thought provoking book.
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
There are no rules. Just write the story.

Thanks for adding me, Jude! From blogging to Facebook to SCBWI Ning! What a journey we've had and we've yet to meet in person!
Be interested to know what you thought of What I Was, read it a couple of months ago. Have got Just in Case in my pile but have yet to start reading it.
Hope the MA is going well.
