My biggest passion in life is writing. If I'm not writing then chances are I've got my head stuck in a book. I enjoy reading all sorts of commercial fiction but primarily anything with a fantasy element.
I also enjoy horror movies, the outdoors, camping and festivals.
My debut children's novel 'The Nightmare Factory', a thriller/adventure story for 9+ will be published on the 3rd May 2012 by Orchard Books.
What are you working on at the moment?
Sequel to 'The Nightmare Factory'.
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
That you never stop learning. :-)

Hi Lucy, Thanks for getting back. I'm just recovering form the flu. Nihilation is getting close to being finished. Actually I was hoping to get it done by the end of this week but the flu may well have scuppered that plan. I sent it off to Becky at DA too but she declined. The weird thing was she wrote something on the letter about someone called Justine having liked it and I have no idea what that was about. I emailed back about that but she never got round to replying. Anyway, I'd love to know what you think of it. And good luck with your book too. Exciting times eh?
Hi Lucy. Yes, that was me. The book I brought along to that workshop has been put back into its place in the queue but I'm doing other stuff. Looks like DA were being on the level with you then, well done!
