- About Me
- I honestly wouldnt be surprised if I was born with a globe for a head. My parents met in Egypt, honeymooned in Tunisia and every since then they have been slowly passing the travel bug down to me. I love everything about it, I even read atlases instead of novels sometimes. So it was only natural for me as my love of creative writing grew, to incorporate this into my writing. Currently I live in London but spent most of my teenage years in Sydney, Australia, attempting to get a tan but failing miserably due to my pasty English skin.
- What are you working on at the moment?
- Currently I'm working on a series of picture books for children 4-7 years old. My passion has always been learning about the world so I want my books to teach children about geography and various cultures without them realising they are learning.
- What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
- These books are my first attempt in the world of childrens books, and having given my first book of the series to an author/illustrator, I realised I had been writing slightly older than the age group I had intended. So I went back to square one, and researched and read, and researched some more to ensure my target age group would be reached.
