Profile

About Me
I'm a born Londoner of Spanish/Austrian background. Like many SCBWI members, always wanted to write, though somehow started late. Have been seriously applying myself to fiction for some ten years, though my first two novel attempts were for adults.
What are you working on at the moment?
Recently finished my first children's book and am sending out to agents. Have had a couple that wanted to read full manuscript, but no 'bite' so far ... beginning to worry there is something wrong!
If you had to recommend just one children's book you've read in the last year, what would it be?
I think it has to be 'Muncle Trogg', because I just wanted to take him home with me!
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
That it's really hard work to get a plot right.

Alas Larisa, I am not the illustrator. Matchstick men are my limit! My wonderful illustrations were done by amazing Scoobie member Paul Morton of Hotfrog graphics. Am so lucky to have teamed up with him. x
