SCAT

“Small cats are trouble,” my mother told me so.I did not want to hear it, but now for sure I know. Small cats are trouble. Oh, the havoc they will wreak,Upon the unsuspecting, the mild and the meek. Small cats are trouble, even from day one.You will get your share of scratches, as she has her feline fun. Small cats are trouble. Don't believe that gentle purr.Small cats simply won't allow it, when you try to wash their fur. Small cats are trouble, especially at night. While you are soundly…See More

Moonchild in Mommyland

Once upon a time a beautiful girl was born under the sign of the moon. When she was just three years old, this sweet, gentle moon-child was given to her father when the parents could no longer be together. It was customary in the land for the parents to set aside their differences so they could raise the children together, but for this little girl, it was not to be. The father loved his only child and wanted a good life for them both, which meant that one day he took the little girl away from…See More

Garbage Girl Gets An Education

To my horror, I discover that our garbage pickup is but twice a month, that is, every other Thursday and that we are required to use black bags, and we have just purchased white, and that this puny round plastic lidded ‘can’, the Household Rubbish Bin, is what is required. It got full so quick (with only 2 black bags full) that the third bag took up residence in the laundry room, leaking and reeking in a leftover cardboard box from the move. Also living in the somewhat cramped laundry room was…See More

About Me
In transition: a native of Florida, USA to Yorkshire County. Writer, Illustrator, Artist, Mother, Extrovert. Seeking friends and friendly advice in all manner of creative endeavors and life in general.
What are you working on at the moment?
I have several short stories for children with monsters, angels, fairies and a rather complicated piece not for suitable for children (yet) still floating about my head and parts of it on paper, digital media, etc.
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Ignore the inner editor/critic while writing rapidly. Just keep writing.
