To my horror, I discover that our garbage pickup is but twice a month, that is, every other Thursday and that we are required to use black bags, and we have just purchased white, and that this puny round plastic lidded ‘can’, the Household Rubbish Bin, is what is required. It got full so quick (with only 2 black bags full) that the third bag took up residence in the laundry room, leaking and reeking in a leftover cardboard box from the move. - I have several short stories for children with monsters, angels, fairies and a rather complicated piece not for suitable for children (yet) still floating about my head and parts of it on paper, digital media, etc.
- What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
- Ignore the inner editor/critic while writing rapidly. Just keep writing.
