Sorry, have been on an Arvon writing course this past week and have had no internet access!
It's brilliant that you have almost finished your book. I can't wait to read it. I'm afraid I don't know who Justine is. I did a search for her on google and the only thing that came up was a forum where other writers had received full manuscript requests from her also, so perhaps she is someone who used to work for them and has now left or something. http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118779
Anyway, good luck with your querying and let me know if anything exciting happens!
I remember you! How are you? Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, am trying to get to grips with this ning thing lol. Hows your book going? I see you have some chapters posted in a blog so I will give it a read when I have some time. It sounds fantastic!
My book is going well thankyou. Have signed the contract with Darley and Anderson now so I am trying harder than ever to get it finished. Only about half way through though so lots more hard work to go...
xx
Yes there are still places for the fantasy workshop but the deadline has long past for submitting your work to Sara to get a critique. You would still be able to do the workshop and participate on the day- read out some work, participate in discussions and do writing excercises, but Sara wouldn't be able to give you a personal written critique at this stage. If you would still like to do it then email me at maureen@oakeley.freeserve.co.uk . We could do a reduced rate too considering. please let me know asap though- only one or two spots left. The alternate world you talked about in your other message seemed totally fine for the workshop as well.
Ok , hope to hear from you. - Maureen
Looking forward to reading the rest of your short too.
Thanks again.
Good to see you here!
