What are you working on at the moment?
I have written short stories for around 15 years to use with my P4C work (www.sapere.org.uk). For the last 2 years I have been thinking about writing an adventure novel for 9-12 year olds, loosely based in Cumbria where I live. In May 2010 I attended a inspiring Arvon course at Lumb Bank and I returned to finally put pen to paper and start writing the novel. It's been a steep learning experience... I have also been playing around with some picture book ideas.
If you had to recommend just one children's book you've read in the last year, what would it be?
Noah Barley runs away by John Boyne
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
How important it is to share my writing with other people.
