About Me
I'm a children's illustrator. The first book I've illustrated, Duck Sock Hop by Jane Kohuth, was published in May 2012 by Dial Books for Young Readers (a division of Penguin US). I also have two books due out with Hodder in March 2013. My portfolio is at www.janeporter.co.uk, and I also have a blog there too under 'what's new'.
What are you working on at the moment?
I'm currently developing some new picture book ideas, a mural for a school and a map on a handkerchief.
If you had to recommend just one children's book you've read in the last year, what would it be?
Too many to choose from...but I love 'No' by Marta Altes, a very clever idea done with such simplicity and humour.
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Look at other media for inspiration
