Profile

About Me
I live with my eccentric husband, funny little two year old and mad canines.I've always had a passion for picturebooks and since having our daughter I've had an excuse in buying them( not that it stopped me before.) Although I'm new to writing and illustrating picturebooks publicly, I've privately been doing them since an early age( my mum just came across a stack of dummybooks from age four.)
My favourite things are the colour red,Paddington Bear, sausages and yogurt ( not usually together.)
What are you working on at the moment?
I've just finished the thumbnails for a couple of picturebook ideas.
If you were asked to recommend just one children's book published this year, what would it be?
The Quiet Woman And The Noisy Dog
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Patience and Determination.

Hi, you poor thing, sounds like you have loads to deal with at moment. Hope it all gets sorted and that your daughter is ok. Enjoy Winchester and make some time for yourself to do a little illustrating. Take care for now and keep in touch. x

Hi Jamie, how are things, what have you been up to? Unfortunatly I'm not going to the conference this year, I really want to go but can't really afford it at the moment. Which I am really sad about as it was brilliant last year. Are you going? I hope I can go next year, I will have to save up. x

No, Grouply is absolutely legit.
It was partly broken the other day.
I'm actually only very reactive and not at all very proactive on socila networkign sites - life is too short. However, wiht only being ractive it's amazing how much impact they all have on web presence.

Hi Jamie,

Back now after a wonderful time in Eire. They are such nice people over there.
We had a wonderful time and although didn't win came back with a beautiful runner up crystal trophy. Feel quite proud as there were over 850 original entries and my son did me proud with his amazing voice. A lovely Argentinian guy won it and it was a very tearful occasion all round!!

Seems like something good may happen over here with my song, Cross your fingers.

Are you going to the conference again in Nov? I think I will. I really enjoyed it last year. Haven't seen when we can book it yet have you?

Hope you are keeping busy and producing more beautiful work.
