About Me
I am an illustrator and animator that currently works at the Natural History Museum London, full time as a data collections assistant and part time as a natural history illustrator. I'm currently trying to break into the world of Children's Picture Books.
What are you working on at the moment?
Natural History Illustrations and a super-seekrit brief.
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Getting to know people. I'm rather socially anxious, but learning from others and seeing their point of view is key.

I love Charlie Brooker, but then I'm pretty snarky myself. Hmm, I'd better be careful!

I agree with Candy. My main problem is the horrible sexism in the books. Bella doesn't seem to have any goals other than being with her man.

Thanks Gina, I like to follow people's blogs, will keep an eye on yours, and will look forward to the blog post when you do get to meet David Attenborough in person!
Jay is a boy, had shoulder length blonde hair then I think! NEWI was such a fun place to learn, wish I could go back, I'm thinking of saving to do an MA, we shall see, lots of decisions to be made.
Toodles for now x

Ooo so I may have seen you at NEWI, my friend Jay did a BA in animation and graduated in 2007. I'm just looking for work in London at the moment, it does seem to be the place to be, I might see you there one day.
Your work is lovely by the way, do you have a website or do you post your blog on the ning everytime?
Working at the museum must be amazing, can't believe you met David Attenborough.
Keep in touch x

Hi Gina, I did go to NEWi, now it's Glyndwr University as it gained university status before I graduated last summer, When did you graduate? I'm looking to move to London, is it as scary as it seems. I'm not very good with lots of people! Just off to look at some of your work, thank you for being my friend x

Hi Gina. Did you go to NEWI? So did I. I received my BA Hons and MA in Children's Illustration from NEWI. So now you are here in London. I hope to see you at one of the Illustrator Masterclass Series events sometime. The last one with Chris Wormell was fantastic. I've sent a friend request, so please add me. I love your sketches.
