Northern Star Winner

In October I entered my story idea in to the Northern Star new Author Competition run in conjunction with The Northern Children's Book Festival. In November I was informed that I had been short-listed and was one of the final three who would go through to the final to be voted for by the public at the Gala Weekend. About Me
I write for children and young adults and have an MA in Creative Writing.
My pen name is Pen Roddam. Pen(elope) being my middle name and Roddam a family name which I think I will change to when my divorce is final.
I grew up in Australia and New Zealand, once worked for The Monkees and now live in Northumberland with my three children and various animals.
I have not yet had a novel published, but hope, with a lot of hard work, to make that happen soon.
What are you working on at the moment?
A supernatural adventure for the 12-16 market.
If you had to recommend just one children's book you've read in the last year, what would it be?
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Editing, editing, editing!

I'm moderating on the yahoo group this month and I've made my focus the Ning. I'm picking a page each day to highlight and posting the link on the group.
