"Thanks Sue. And I didn't know you had Penny, that is great. You can wear what you like to the agent's party then!"

About Me
Now I wish I had looked at other people's to see what they wrote! I grew up in Western Australia so I like wide open spaces, tend to look up a lot living in London and avoid most swimming pools. Ambaravajri is a Buddhist name, part of which means 'blue sky'. I starting writing out of homesickness I think, and now it's taking over...
What are you working on at the moment?
Dreaming Red Tree Station - A supernatural mystery for 11+ set in outback Australia.
If you had to recommend just one children's book you've read in the last year, what would it be?
I have scoured my bookshelves and can't find anything published this year. I must go shopping! I would probably recommend Mortlock by Jon Mayhew because I have read the opening which is fab. I haven't read the rest of it because I am such a wimp about the gory bits but I am working up to it!
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Hmm. Probably to trust myself - both when it all seems to be going pear shaped and also when it feels like it is going well. That is quite a different thing in each case, but is the main thing that helps, as well as seeking the support of writer friends of course...
