That is great Eric. Keep us posted. It is encouraging to hear that persistance pays off in the end as it is easy to hit a slump and be tempted to give up on something (I do this at least fortnightly!)

About Me
Hi I'm Eric ex firefighter in Cardiff,then a part time illustrator,now full time and it's great.Completely self taught,mainly work for publishers in Wales,can't speak Welsh, but can illustrate in Welsh.My work ranges from childrens books to graphic novels,I also hold workshops for kid's and families in the local schools and museums,plus do some freelance work for the local newspaper here in Cardiff doing sporting cartoons,have aspirations to be a political cartoonist.Love sport especially Rugby,Cricket and golf,also training for the London triathlon.....

What are you working on at the moment?
Working on a slightly different style to the one on my website,also working on book covers for the WBC and illustrating a book of poems for children.Also sent my new stuff off to some London childrens book publishers,just waiting to hear now,fingers crossed.
If you were asked to recommend just one children's book published this year, what would it be?

What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?

Well if your submission replies get any better then I absolutely want to know what deal you did with the devil. Also can your heart take any more good news? I would be needing some serious chill out time to come down from my high if I was getting that much good news in such a short space of time. Can't wait to keep watching your success - it is inspiring and makes sending out countless submissions seem worth it afterall :-)
