how is the writing and illustrating going?

Hi Dwina,
I had a look at your website and I am really impressed with the layout, design and look of it. And your illustrations are amazing, I never realised you were such a talented artist as well as writer. The Star Child looks stunning, just the sort of illustrations I love.... Arthur Rackham has always been a favourite of mine. If I could combine the style of Rackham and Burne-Jones, I'd be a happy man!! Let me know when Star Child is published, I'll be wanting a copy!

I need to overhaul my own website, but you can see it at: malakim.co.uk . I love the style of Mucha, as you'll be able to tell from some of the work I have been commissioned to do.

As I mentioned, I am now aiming to try to illustrate my own work... I just need to find a publisher willing to publish it!! I'm about to start sending out profiles of some of my ideas/writing again soon, so fingers crossed the Universe listens and someone wants to publish it!!

I've not been to a SCBWI meeting yet, as the closest one to me is actually quite a distance away... but there is another member who lives only a few miles away looking to start a new group, so I will definately attend the meetings then.

If you'd like to keep chatting in a less 'public' way, you can email me at: njb@malakim.co.uk and maybe we can catch up more on OBOD, writing and illustrating.

Hi Dwina, I am a member of OBOD, have just celebrated 21 years since my Bardic initiation.... I can't believe so much time has passed!!! We actually have met, but that was many, many moons ago during the bi-centennial celebrations at Primrose Hill, and at the workshops held by Cairis and Will.

I am hoping to have more work uploaded soon, with perhaps a follow-up to Walking With Witches next year. I've been keeping everything crossed for the Grigori Oracle for a few years now ... still hope to break into being an author as well as an illustrator .... so still hope that one day the Grigori Oracle will be picked up for publication! In the meantime I keep planning and adapting the system and I'm also writing my own version of the beginning ot their legend of the great love between Semyaza and Ishtahar and the ever present Azaz'el.

Do you have anything coming up on the horizon?
