A short story about the death of a boy's dog and how it taught him to deal with the grief over his father's death previous to the dog's.

About Me
I'm a disabled, unpublished (so far), writer who is qualified to work with children aged 12 months to 7 years 11 months. I'm hoping to achieve an ambition that I've had since my early teens to have a children's book published so that I can share my love of reading with them.
What are you working on at the moment?
I've finished writing Toni's Flibble Wibble (the first in a series) and I'm now looking for an agent.

NaNo starts on 1 November and I'll be writing Toni is Betterified (the second in the Toni series) during November... wish me luck! I didn't win NaNo... I was 7k words short by 11.30pm so I gave up :( Maybe next year eh?

I'm also working on a Young Adult book that I'm hoping to donate all the money that I earn from it to the Dogs Trust over here in the UK.

As if that wasn't enough, I'm also writing a series of early readers and several picture books.
What is the most important thing you learned about writing or illustrating this year?
Never give up on your dreams!

Hi Amanda,

Thanks for the welcome :)

Navigation isn't my strong point so I'm giving myself a big pat on the back for finding my way to you to say thanks! I do like to celebrate every little achievement ;)

Hi Amanda - completely lost - I don't know what I am doing - I seem to be sharing statuses all over the internet, trying to network but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.  I am a self-published single mum with no money to spend on fancy publishing and promoting and don't seem to be selling anything - I also have acrophobia so still not being able to get OUT there to self-promote - any ideas?
